Premoney List 9

Trends, food, and some hot pre-seed raises

Morning / afternoon / evening! Our subscriber base is officially global, representing 30+ countries and 6 continents…welcome to list 9!

If you’re a fan of what I’m writing / sharing, Dan Hightower writes Product Market Misfits, which interviews founders as they go from idea to market. Very similar space, & really cool angle. Check it out, lmk what you think!

Investor introductions:

I’m very pumped to say that I’ve been able to introduce a bunch of the founders on the past week(s) list to interested investors. Some deals are closing soon & will report back! If you’re a scout, angel or investor, please consider checking out the Premoney Premium, and you’ll get contact info & I’ll introduce you to the founders!

Also note that I’ve included a “traction indicator” column for companies that were comfortable sharing (thank you, Olivia Benjamin, from Bain Cap / Operator Partners for the push to include this).

Trends.PM:

Over the past month, I’ve looked at 800+ launches and visualized launches by topic over time. I’ll keep sharing this bi-weekly (or monthly) so we can analyze together.

Top product topic launches by volume:

  • Productivity

  • Building for in-browser experiences (Chrome Extensions)

  • Developer Tools

Looking deeper at these products, there's a lot of focus on building for:

  • SMBs to become more efficient

  • Moving the underbanked into more stable systems

  • Long term at-home work structures

Fun take:

It may be hard to see in the chart, but while launches related to Productivity peak during the week and dip on weekends, launches related to User Experience and Design Tools peak on weekends and dip on weekdays.

This weeks list:

  • 10 Companies

  • 60% female or bipoc founders

  • Tons of traction.The list

Highlights from Premoney Companies:

  • CopysmithAI from List 4, launched on ProductHunt yesterday and is running a 50% off deal for any early adopters.

  • Jam, after launching on PH and PM last week, announced a $3.5M raise!

  • Hypedocs deal continues: 15% off Hypedocs using code “PREMONEY”

Please continue to share, give feedback and help me support founders!

All for this week!
