Premoney List 6

It's all about creators, the passion economy & more ecomm.

Hi everyone,

Welcome & thank you!

Once again, a warm welcome to our new subscribers, and a big thank you to all the founders who keep founding cool companies to feature. A few of you have reached out to feature yours, or other start-ups…please keep them coming.

I'm also excited to partner with another awesome newsletter, Venn Diagrams, which focuses on Entertainment, Technology & Emerging Trends. Partnership powered by Swapstack.

Calling all operators: join a working session with one of our founders.

I’m hosting a structured brainstorm session with the founder of Conversion Crimes, a user research & feedback tool for startups (featured in List 3) next week. We’ll be working through a specific business hurdle together. Please reply here if you’re interested in participating and we’ll talk deets.

This weeks list:

  • 10 Companies (obvi)

  • 60% Female or bipoc founders

  • My first foray into headless ecomm

  • New monetization strategies for creators

Highlights:

  • Mfluencer: I love all things that support, in a healthy way, the passion economy. People should be paid for what they create. Mfluencer, built by Amir Hamza (who is also a super talented artist), allows influencers a way to monetize their trade in under 5 minutes.

  • LetsBab: Again, people should be paid for the value they create. LetsBab allows you to share products with your friends, and earn money if they make a purchase. Affiliate models have always tried to build incentives on both sides of the marketplace, bringing the shopper into the mix can help get that flywheel going. Try it out, let me know what you think.

Jobs:

  • Naya Studio is hiring a Design & Fabrication Ecosystem Manager to further build out their network of makers, fabricators, and designers, and improve their platforms efficiency. More details here, and reach out to [email protected] if interested.

  • Shypyard is hiring a Growth & Marketing intern to help build upon current momentum (released an MVP last week & acquired their first paying customer). For more info, reach out to Dan: [email protected]

All for this week. Please share and get in touch if you want to chat or collaborate on anything!

‘till next week,

Jake
