Premoney List 3

Newsletter tools (meta, I know!), COVID, OnDeck build weekend

Happy Monday everyone,

First, I want to welcome our new subscribers. Up ~55% from last week! Thank you Twitter, & Anthony McGuire for all of the exposure and shares. Please forward to your friends, let me know, and I’ll give you a shout next week!

For those who recently signed up:

The Premoney list is very simple. The goal is to provide founders, tech lovers, angels and fiery sales people like yourselves with a list of fresh up-in-coming companies that are at the beginning stages.A request from you:

I made a couple more updates to the list, structure etc. from feedback I received throughout the week. Please email me and let me know how you’re using the list & what else you’d like to see.

On to this weeks’ list:

  • 10 Companies

  • 2 with known pre-seed funding

  • 40% female founders or creators

  • 4 from the On Deck community build weekend

Highlights:

Newsletters! You’re reading one right now, but most newsletter readers (60%) have reported having too many newsletters to keep up with. This week, there were a lot of products that provide subtle changes to how newsletters are used, consumed, and integrated into daily life.

  • Knit combines the newsletter craze, the need for more seamless community building, virtuality, and a well crafted SaaS model. Knit builds a newsletter for teams, which is comprised of responses from teammates to weekly prompts. “We want teams to build a more empathetic workplace by encouraging meaningful sharing.” - Quitin Woods of Knit. Knit is signing up beta-teams for their launch, get in touch to be part of the their first cohort!

  • Letterstack is a very helpful (trust me!) hub for anyone trying to grow a newsletter following.

  • Compose AI is focused on using NLP, GPT3, etc. to help auto-write emails. While not directly a newsletter tool…maybe a layer in an automated newsletter discovery tech stack?

All for this week.

As always, please send any feedback you have!
