Launching Premoney.xyz:

I’m very excited to “productize” the Premoney marketplace, with the launch of Premoney.xyz…mostly because I was able to hop on the “.xyz” train for a reason.

Why: Premoney is a marketplace, with a goal of increase the number of investor <> founder conversations. We source growing companies, and connect them to investors & potential partners. I can now send both sides of that marketplace to Premoney, intake companies to feature, and keep track of investors who want intros. Whenever an investor asks for an introduction, I automate the process if everything looks ok (all hail Zapier).

So what: Hopefully this make it easier, and more impactful for founders. Please share this with your founder & investor friends, and we’ll work together to increase the number of connections made between investors and founders.

From the founder: Our vision with Centered is big: we want to give anyone access to on-demand, professionally-vetted mental health support when they need it most --and for less than the cost of 1 therapy session. For therapists and coaches, we are giving them a way to build their own subscription revenue business, and to reach more people worldwide (including people who they can't serve out of state, who can't afford it, and are in different timezones).

Results from Beta: In our fall 2020 beta test, 81% of users wanted to continue receiving tools after 4 weeks, and would refer Centered to a friend (they also gave names).

My take: First, the founder. Lexi has proven expertise in both community & product leadership (AngelList, On Deck, TechStars, BetaWorks) as well as deep understanding of how to grow consumer products. The Centered product recognizes that there are a ton of “wellness” tools out there, and doesn’t try to recreate the wheel or the content needed. They enable experts already in the field to better access the people who need them, and monetize along the way.

Hellosaurus

1-Liner: Hellosaurus is an interactive video platform for kids filled with shows they can actually play instead of just watch.

Description: Hellosaurus is reimagining screen time for the touchscreen generation. Top kids media creators and YouTube stars with a reach of over 200M families are already using the proprietary Hellosaurus tools to make interactive content Hellosaurus and are distributing the content on the Hellosaurus mobile app. Hellosaurus enables true audience participation by leveraging mobile technologies like multi-touch screens, microphones, and cameras. New research has shown this kind of active screen time to be meaningfully better for a child’s social, emotional, and cognitive growth than the passive video viewing found on all other platforms.

Early traction: #1 Product of the Day on Product Hunt, YC Alum, just raised a seed from General Catalyst and a few other great firms + angels. App just launched on App Store.
